Who We Are

The Meno Biimadeswin Adult Education & Training Centre (MBAETC) is an Indigenous led Private School that provides adult Indigenous learners with the opportunity to achieve their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)In September of 2025, MBAETC became a designated private school. The MBAETC team provides a holistic and culturally responsive approach to supporting our adult learners through their educational journey. We provide our students with classroom supports from our teachers and administrative staff, as well as offering supports outside of the classroom by our social and cultural support staff.MBAETC is offering in-person, online and independent courses. We accept applications from individuals who are First Nation Status, regardless of which community they are from.

What We Do

We offer culturally focused curriculum, grant credits, and offer our students the opportunity to achieve their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
We provide financial supports including training allowance, transportation allowance, childcare and rental supports. 

We support our students with certifications including driver’s licensing, driving school, First Aid/CPR, Wilderness First Aid Training, Safe Food Handling, and many more. MBAETC also provides co-operative education opportunities focused on real world experiences in partnership with highly skilled local workplaces

We help to provide our students with the skills and foundation that they will need to reach their goals. We support our students with achieving their career goals, attending post-secondary school, and skilled trades apprenticeships.
